Osama bin Laden’s son has issued a series of chilling messages threatening the Saudi royal family in a bid to become the future leader of al Qaeda, it has been reported. In it, he claims that the Saudis have betrayed Islam by working with the ‘crusaders’ against the Ottoman caliphate.
It is not the first time that Hamza, believed to be 28, has appeared in a propaganda message for al Qaeda and has previously called for terror attacks in London, Washington and Paris. Earlier this year he was placed on the US State Department’s terror watch list and labelled a ‘specially designated global terrorist’.
Terrorist experts around the world say that Hamza has been seen as the next leader of the terror organisation since he was a child. According to an FBI agent, “He was a poster kid for the al Qaeda…and for members of al Qaeda, who were indoctrinated with these propaganda videos, he means a lot to them.”
