There are times that it may seem all the forces of nature are out to get you. Life is never fair neither do challenges take pity on us and find another victim. One of the greatest lessons we can learn is that persistency pays and many of the ground breaking achievements human beings have made can be credited to being persistent.
A wonderful example is a story many of us have heard more than a few times; Thomas Edison’s breakthrough with the light bulb. It is said that Edison failed a thousand times before he finally perfected the filament bulb. When a reporter asked, “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” Edison replied, “I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.” 
Just the same way we have to consistently pick ourselves up when we fail and try again, our mentality and attitude towards failed attempts also matter a lot. There are several other notable instances of people who didn’t get it right the first time they tried but who eventually led revolutions because they didn’t give up. You might have made attempts at accomplishing a particular goal in life and failed at every turn, but you are not a failure till you actually give up.
History is hardly ever written about people who gave up on their dreams neither are we ever inspired to be all we want to be by stories of broken dreams. Make up your mind to pursue your dreams with all the passion you have got because “A man is not finished when he is defeated. He is finished when he quits.” – Richard Nixon
