Arsenal have launched their new away kit for next season – which they claim is a nod to one of their strips in the 1990s. The Gunners have revealed a two-tone blue strip that brings back memories of the colours the likes of Dennis Bergkamp and Ray Parlour wore two decades ago.
The club will wear the new shirt for the first time this weekend when they take on Benfica in the Emirates Cup on Saturday. Arsenal have a long tradition of having blue in their kit, and they have had that colour away strip several times in the modern era. It is the third new strip the Gunners have unveiled for the coming season, made by sportswear firm Puma.
