Ed Sheeran Draws Inspiration From Ghana For The New Music Video Of ‘Bibia Be Ye Ye’

British singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran, visited Ghana last year to seek “new-to-him influences” for his third studio album, Divide and ended up writing a song in the Ghanaian dialect, Twi, with Fuse ODG: “Bibia Be Ye Ye” (which means “All Will Be Well”).Upon the album’s successful release five months ago, the feel-good song quickly became a fan favourite; which explains why Ed just dropped a feel-good music video, shot entirely in Ghana, to match. The video only features a very brief cameo from the “Shape Of You” singer. Instead, it focuses on Ghana’s rich culture – from the food to the people – following different Ghanaians as they lip sync and dance to the infectious song.Ed announced the video on his Instagram account, saying: “I visited Ghana last year to make music and whilst there was exposed to such wonderful culture, food, music and scenery. Fuse and I wanted to showcase all of these things in a music video to show off the beauty of it. This isn’t a single, but it’s the summer, and why not have a summer song come out with a feel-good video for people to enjoy.” Check out the video for “Bibia Be Ye Ye” below:
