The glitzy, glamorous celebrity life sometime comes at a cost as famous couples, who were once head over heels in love and bound by holy matrimony, fall apart eventually. However, the latest celebrity couple to be hit by this is one of Hollywood favourite couple, US actors Chris Pratt and Anna Faris.
Announcing that they are separating after eight years of marriage in joint statements shared on their official social media pages, the couple, who met in 2007 while filming the romantic comedy Take Me Home Tonight, said attempts to save their relationship had failed.
“We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed,” Pratt wrote in a post on Facebook on Sunday. “Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward,” the statement said. The statement added that the two had “cherished” their time together and “continue to have the deepest respect for one another”. A similar statement was tweeted from Faris’ verified account late Sunday night. The couple got married in 2009 and together have one child named Jack.
