Grammy Award-winning singer Adele not long ago, paid a courtesy visit to Grenfell Tower firefighters in order to appreciate them for their good work in tackling last week’s tragic fire in London.
The 29-year-old English singer and songwriter, stopped by Chelsea Fire Station for “a cup of tea and a cuddle.” One of the firefighters, Rob Petty, shared a series of images on Facebook, describing the singer as “wonderfully grounded and caring.”
The tragic fire incident that broke out on Wednesday, June 14 in Kensington, west London, claimed 79 lives and the death toll is still expected to rise. Adele quietly visited victims of the fire the day of the disaster, offering her support and condolences. She didn’t publicize the visit, although onlookers shared pictures of her at the scene.
A number of stars from Celine Dion to Stormzy, have come together to record a charity single to go towards victims of the fire and it is said to be released soon.
