Having 30 contestants competing for honours in 5 categories this weekend, France citizens witnessed the first French Beard Championship.Contestants with beards of different shapes, shades and lengths graced the event. Many contestants with different lengths and shades of admirable beards were present. Javor Mujicic won the Garibaldi beard category, Denis Pierre Cariou won the Best in Show category and Yohann Caton won the Verdi Beard category.
Richard Palatchi, who had been growing his beard for three and a half years, won the audacious beard category while Julien Voeltzel won in the natural and over 20cm-long beard category.
