KOKOnisto Of The Day: Isaac Hindin-Miller Will Make You Love Men’s Fashion

Isaac Hindin-Miller started his blog Isaac Likes back in 2008 at the very beginning of the blogging boom. Back then, all he knew about independent online publishing was that it didn’t really exist in his home country of New Zealand, and that almost everything he read on the internet that had anything to do with fashion was a rehashed press release copied and pasted by a lazy editor. Within seven months of launching, he became the first New Zealander to be fired from a traditional print publishing job due to a blog post he had written. He was involved in a legal dispute with his former employer (which they settled out of court), and he took off for Paris to cover the men’s collections for the first time. For the next two and a half years, he travelled on the men’s circuit every season from Milan to Paris to New York, before leaving New Zealand for good in June 2011. Isaac landed in Singapore, shot a dance video, flew to Paris, stayed for a few months, then moved to New York on August the 8th, 2011, and has lived there ever since. His blog over the years has morphed from its former focus on news, and now includes everything from personal style and travel, to anecdotes, interviews with notable personalities and relationship advice for anybody who asks.Photo Credit: Isaac Hindin-Miller
