Its all over the net and fans are really anticipating who’s going to end up playing live-action Aladdin! Although, celebrities such as “Lion” star Dev Patel and “The Night Of” star Riz Ahmed were both rumoured to be considered for the role, but Hollywood has few diverse actors.Also, Disney according to ‘reports’ is apparently leaning towards casting a fresh face. Some of the newcomers in the running are Dutch actor Achraf Koutet, Canadian actor Mena Massoud and American actor George Kosturos.Aside that, the studio is also reportedly considering Power Rangers‘ Naomi Scott, 24, or Indian actress Taria Sutaria, 21, for the role of Jasmine.Whoever gets cast as the lead will join Will Smith, who is already signed on to play Genie, a role popularized by Robin Williams in the 1992 animated original.
